Lately, I have been topping everything with holographic topcoat. What I have noticed though, is that it can dull the effect of certain duochromes or multichromes. This Anna Sui shifts from pink to gold depending on the angle, but once I added Djinn most of the color changing quality was gone. Nevertheless, I found the overall combination really pretty.
I thought this was going to be better than OPI Can't Let Go from the Mariah collex, and it was. Yet, I still can't get used to this trend. I have been trying all these years to smooth out my glittery nails, that I cannot conceive the thought of letting it dry without topcoat. That being said, this looks very nice and sparkly. I'm sure you guys have noticed that I haven't posted many textured nail polishes here on the blog. It's kind of like soft sheer beige cremes, I like them, just on other people.

It's been a while since I've seen a good metallic such as Euforia. This one shines very nicely. It was a pleasure to swatch, even though the brush was a bit average. I liked the formula and the drying time as well. One thing I noticed is that it did not come with agitator, but this is something that most Brazilian nail polishes lack. I think this might be a good dupe for Chanel Bel Argus, or better than Chanel Bel Argus. It is not brush-strokey like some metallics can be, and that is a bonus. This looks great by itself, but I like if better holofied.
Astrid is the newest addition to the Shimmer line. It is a gorgeous combination of clear hexagons and purple glitters. I would say this is the purple version of Jovie, which has very subtle pink glitters instead. There is so much purple goodness going on here. I love this particular Shimmer, it is so beautiful and goes well over everything. It is packed with iridescent glitters that glow in the shade and it can be worn alone at three coats, but it is so much better layered. I like it that it has several small glitters that range from lilac to violet, and all the shades of purple coordinate perfectly in there. The application was perfection and the drying time was excellent.
I really liked the name of this nail polish, but I'm not sure if the color is for me. I like girly blues, if that makes sense. Anything with green undertones will look good on me. I love cyan, aqua, and teal has been growing on me lately, but this shade of blue is just too basic for me. I added a gradient to make it look more interesting. I do love the application of this Enchanted, but the holographic effect is rather weak.

What a lovely Thursday! I hope you guys are enjoying your day, the weekend will be here soon. I am kind of sad that July is almost over, this means that I just have a few weeks left of vacation and swatching time. I've tried to give the blog a lot of attention in the past month. One of the things I am definitely happy about is that I learned how to stamp. I don't know if that makes sense, but I felt incomplete as a Blogger, not being able to show some stamping here and there. I still need lots of practice, but the good thing is, I love it and I don't mind practicing :)
I thought this was too sheer to wear on its own, and the title of the lacquer already states it's a topper., so I tried it over a light color. Unfortunately, I didn't see any magic happen. Then, I decided to layer it over a darker color, yesterday's mani, a blue jelly; and it looked pretty good. I was able to see how glowy it was, and although not visible in the pictures, it reminded me of Models Own Indian Ocean. It has color shifting microglitter, and it is a really sparkly texture nail polish.
