Hemlock came in a duo, but I don't see it on their website as a duo anymore. This is a gorgeous neutral. It reminded me a little bit of
Chemistry 241, except this one doesn't shift colors, it just has that mesmerizing green/gold shimmer. I swatched it on its own, but it can be layered. I usually check for swatches right after I've swatched something, and
here I found some great layering combinations for Hemlock. It can also be used as a base color for green glitters (see
yesterday's post). Obsess is very similar to Grab (another Illamasqua), but this has a neon finish. I've showed it here without topcoat, but it looks better with it. These two are day and night, I have no clue why they gathered them into a duo in the first place. Illamasqua is very... unpredictable, I guess. I liked them both, but Hemlock is definitely a gateway nail polish; I've ordered 7 Illas in the past few days, after swatching these :/
