"Woah! November is here already. Frigging time always moving so fast unless I
want it to in which case it moves incredibly slowly.. but I digress! I must
thank the wonderful Alexandra for inviting me to do a guest post on her
fabulous blog. It gave me a great opportunity to shop my stash for layering
combinations. I have embarked on what I like to call project Responsible
Adult. It is essentially a low buy, but it is easier for me to stick to when
I look at it from this angle ;) Project Responsible Adult means that I only
buy things I have actual real money for.. imagine that!
I had a great time pondering what would be the best combo for November. I busted out a bag of fake thumb nails and went to town! Early on I decided that I wanted to do something gold. I have been really digging on golds lately. I was a silver only girl for the longest time. I really disliked yellow gold actually. Lately I have really been on a black and gold kick as far as wardrobe goes. I have been picking up a lot of funky gold jewelry (gold-ish because that's how I roll..*cough* cheaply), and I just bought the Steve Madden Studdly in gold *pets spiky gold shoes*. I also recently picked up Lippmann Boom Boom Pow which is gorgeous.
I couldn't decide between these manis, so I went with all three! I apologize for my inability to focus on more than 2 nails at a time. My camera was crapping sideways bricks trying to focus on all that glitter ;)

Combo #1 (I may have done this backwards.. I wrote it like it is
layered with the base on the bottom)
Layering Order:
1 coat OPI The Man With The Golden Gun
1 coat NYX Gilded Glitter
1 coat Lippmann Boom Boom Pow
2 coats OPI Did You Ear About Van Gogh?
1 coat CND Sticky base
00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
Layering Order:
IBD uv gel polish base.
1 coat of AEngland Holy Grail
2 coats of OPI GoldenEye
2 coats of CrowsToes Maxxed Out
1 coat of OPI The Man With The Golden Gun
Seche Vite Topcoat
00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
Layering Order:
1 coat CND Sticky base
2 coats Lippmann Mermaid's Dream
1 coat China Glaze Cleopatra
1 coat Lippmann Boom Boom Pow
1 coat OPI THe Man With The Golden Gun
I love all of these in different ways. I absolutely adore the way the glitter looks with all the different gold tones. Cleopatra has holo glitter in it so the Mermaid's Dream combination glitters really nicely in the right light. Thank you so much Alex for asking me to do this! Shopping my stash was so fun :) Sometimes I get so concerned about getting certain polishes I forget how many I already have and the endless ways they can be combined to create so many wicked looks."
I love them all especially the last one with Mermaids Dream, Reece always has great pics and I also look forward to her blog posts ♥
