I was pleasantly surprised on how well this looked on its own. I love gold glitters so I knew I would love this one. I like "bare nails" occasionally, for important meetings and gatherings, or when I don't need my nails to steal the spotlight >.< and this is a great alternative to the good old beige creams and subtle pink shimmers. It's very sparkly, but also very gritty, so it does need top coat. It dries super fast, like all Butter London nail polishes. The third picture was intentionally blurred to show the sparkles.

Deleteso pretty !
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Deletei love the subtle beautiful-ness, and looks like a good layering polish.
ReplyDeletethank you :)
DeleteWhat is Glitter Tamer?
DeleteIt was a topcoat to "quench" thirsty glitters, it made the gritty ones a bit smooth, but I think it has been discontinued.
DeleteThis one's very pretty! I love it over black.
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried that yet, I will check it out!
DeleteI love this color (I own it) and it's so pretty on its own, but a pain to remove. I don't know what it is about this color, but it takes me a half hour to forty-five minutes to remove three layers of this color off my nails (3 layers = BARELY visible VNL on me.) Most glitter polishes take me 5 minutes to remove, this one took me 30. It's demoted to layering now!
ReplyDeleteha ha demoted!
Deletefor the VNL you can try this http://www.sparklyvernis.com/2011/11/butter-london-nail-foundation.html
for the removing issues you can try the foil method or this http://www.sparklyvernis.com/2012/01/incoco-instant-nail-polish-remover.html
Yes, demoted. My polishes have ranks! Ha ha ha.
DeleteLove it!!
DeleteI love it both on its own and layered.
