Silver Foil Mani

Happy Friday!  Wow I managed to squeeze in 4 posts this week!  I have been changing my nail color a lot lately.  Having freshly done nails is the best feeling in the world.

This mani was the result of many experiments.  I think finally got it down, when it comes to foils.  I used China Glaze Gelaze gel topcoat and cured it with my tiny lamp from my old Fuse kit.  I was very happy with the results.  Although I got away with 1 coat of glue, I think that two would make it better.  I did have some tiny gaps, and it might have been the amount of glue.  I will confirm this later on another foil post.

Dance Legend Parallax

It is a nice change to have shorter nails once in a while.  I purchased this Gucci red creme and it bubbled up on me, so I had to add glitter.  It looked really nice with the Dance Legend.  I need to wear it on its own.  The problem is that the round glitters are very sparse, and I had to do some fishing.

Cadillacquer Firinne

I have mixed feelings about this one.  On one hand, it is a unique shade of purple that looks classy in certain lights.  On the other hand, it seems a bit too muted, and the shimmer is so hidden, that in real life it is almost non-existent.  The holographic effect is medium, but ok.

CbL March to a Different Beat

I was loving this one in the swatch pics from last month, and I decided to see it for myself.  I was not disappointed, because the color was better than I imagined it.  It is a blackened purple holo with a slight duochrome effect.  Easy 2 coats, and it dried fast.  In my pictures, it has a copper cast that is not as noticeable in real life, but the shimmer in it is very pretty.

Barielle with ProSina London High Tea

This is another color from the Barielle ProSina Signature Collection.  The application for it was superb.  It is hands down, one of the easiest creme polishes to apply.  This two-coater shimmery pink is true to the original London High Tea,

This collection, which can be found here, has hydrolized keratin treatment built in the fomula.  Barielle says that it is "pregnancy safe and 5 Free".  Check out the other treatments with ProSina,

I had swatched My City apartment a couple of weeks ago here.  I also did a quick 4 day test without basecoat with this one, and the results were consistent: Nearly no chips and my nails were moisturized.  It felt like I was wearing basecoat, as I did not experience any dryness, breakage or peelies.  Overall, I think that this collection is a winner, the formula, colors and benefits are wonderful.

KB Shimmer Night Bright and Baroness X Doomfire

This is probably my first KB Shimmer.  I think it made a good first impression on me, and now I want to learn more about the brand.  They have some unique bath products too.  I got this one because I saw a video and I did not see anything in my stash that resembled it.

It is a perfect two-coater, not chunky at all.  I like that it can be worn alone or as a base color for shifty topcoats.  This is very minimalist, just a black crelly with good holographic glitter, but the ratio is done so well that it is stunning nonetheless.  This is a nice color for purists, and for those who like the glitters-over-black look; it's all in 1 step.

Pa AA37 and AA38 over Nvr Enuff Unicorn Castle

I added flakies to the mani from my previous post.  The good thing about subtle holos is that they can be used as base colors for layering flakies, shimmers and glitters.

Nvr Enuff Unicorn Castle

This is a nice pastel lilac for spring.  I got it because I though it was going to be a bit more neon and more holo than this.  Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed.  It also took a long time to ship and to arrive, so I had high expectations for it.  The formula and the brush were great.

Barielle with ProSina My City Apartment

This is a brand new product from the Barielle ProSina Signature Collection.  This applies like a dream.  It feels really luxurious on application, and the coverage is great, at two easy coats.  If you recall, the color, it is true to the original My City Apartment, a chic nail creme that looks exactly like the color on the bottle.  No green or green hues, just a true grey.

This collection, which can be found here, is infused with a hydrolized keratin, which acts like a treatment.  Barielle says that it "improves the durability and elasticity of the nail plates, as it penetrates the nails and skin to provide the ultimate hydration to repair damaged cuticles and nails".  They have many other treatments with ProSina, not just color, that are worth checking out.

I did a quick 4 day test without basecoat and I loved it.  My nails did not chip or feel dried at all.  It felt like I was wearing basecoat the whole time, which I am a huge fan of.  I saw minor tip-wear only on my right hand by the end of day three, and on my left, on day four.  Overall, I would totally recommend this for the color and high-end-feel formula alone.

Celestial Evergreen Eucalypts

This is a peacock green with blue microshimmer and holo dust.  I wasn't too thrilled at first because the color was a bit off compared to the swatch on the website, and the holo effect was not too strong.  That being said, the color and the shimmer grew on me.  I usually give polishes another chance, before I decide whether I like them or not, and this was my second time wearing it.  I think these pictures show the true color, which is one of the reasons why I like blogging, I get to show others my views, pictures, opinions, etc. on a specific color.

Stached Polish The Ministry with holo accents

I felt like this mani was a bit too futuristic for my taste, but I love holo, so I was able to wear it for 2 days without getting bored,  I love holos like this, they are pink and/or purple, depending on the light.  This is like that NailNation Passionate, which looks different throughout the day.  This is a really nice creamy holo, and I have already worn it on its own, so it was time to revamp it a bit.  I got the nail studs at etsy, the glitter from Japan and the stripping tape from a local 1 hour away beauty supply store.  It's amazing how many places nail polish can take me,
