Pearly teals comparison

When I was swatching Dior 794, I realized I had a couple more teals to compare.

My favorite, hands down is Chanel Azure.  It just stands out more between the other two.  Application wise, these are all 3 coaters.  The color shift is great on the Chanel and the Dior, but the Pa is weak.  The Dior had the easiest application of the three.

Dior Bird of Paradise Samba Set

This duo was another wonderful gift from K.  Honestly, I never would have thought of getting this because I already own Chanel Azure.  Surprisingly, they are different, and I will post a quick comp. tomorrow.

Tje green, 402, is not as exciting in the bottle.  Once on the nail it has a really creamy feel, which turned out to be perfect for the Springs season.  I wore it with a sparkly glitter topper, and the result was amazing.  It will be a staple base color for glitters.

The blue, 794, applied like a dream, but it was a 3-coater.  I really love the color shift in this one, and I managed to capture it on camera.  I think this duo is worth the hype, because of the great Dior formula and the unique colors.

Chaos & Crocodiles Wishing Star Sky is a creamy muted purple holographic

As I mentioned on Friday's post, I haven't been buying too much nail polish.  The reason being, that most of the indie brands have been disappointing, weather in colors or in customer service.  There's only a few left that I trust, and this, I guess, is one of them.  The mainstream brands haven't really had any exciting collections this year.

The good news is, that this collection did not disappoint at all.  I got 4 of the 6, and I am regretting not getting the other two.  These were on the thick side, application wise.  However, the colors make up for it.  This muted purple reminded me of Catrice Dirty Berry but with less grey and more rainbow effect.

Different Dimension Sagitta and Aquila

I haven't been buying too much nail polish lately, but when I saw these, I knew that I had to have them.  Not because of the duochrome flakies, I'm not a fan of those, but because of the shimmer, the holo and the "real silver" flakies.  I am really regretting not getting the others from the collection.

Ozotic 504 and Ethereal Spectral

This is a simple layering combo that I wore over the weekend.  I think it was better in real life, than in these pics.  Both are shifters.  They go from blue to purple to pink.  I liked the concept, but even then, I thought it was missing something.  Not shown here, I ended up adding flakies to it.  Not all manis are winners, sometimes the mood will make or break a mani.

OMG Nail Strips review

I received these for review.  I haven't worn nail strips in a while.  I feel like that trend had its moments, and now I never reach for them.  I thought that this company was bringing something new: a decal with blinking light.  So I decided to give it a try.

Sadly, or fortunately (?), my nails are too curved.  I managed to snap a few pictures, and then the decals on my accent (ring) finger gave in.  I'm not sure if the adhesive was strong enough.  I didn't get a chance to try to activate it with an NFC item.  Luckily, Cathy from More Nail Polish Blog made an amazing post with a video, please click!

The decals were ok, but the strips were better.  They are really colorful, and they did stick for about 24 hours until I decided to remove them.  They are easy to apply, along the lines of Incoco and Sally Hansen.  However, after I wore them for a whole day, I noticed shrinkage.  Again, it might be due to the shape of my nails and the fact that I had to stretch them a bit to avoid wrinkles.  These are really affordable.  Check them out here.

OPI DS Sapphire and NailNation Max A Million comparison

This seems random, but I had mentioned in this post that I was going to do a comparison between these two.  It was over a year ago, but time flies by.

I like both, but the OPI has a special pink microshimmer that makes it special.  The NailNation is a bit sheer, but the holographic effect is very strong.  Color wise, I think the pics are very accurate, they are very similar, and it's hard to tell them apart in the shade.

Deborah Lippmann Raspberry Beret is a 2-coater cherry crelly with flakies

My nails are long again.  I try to file them, instead of cutting them, and I get lazy sometimes.  I found that doing that (plus using OPI Nail Envy) got rid of most of the peelies.  I poked myself over the weekend, so please ignore the red dot on the middle finger.

This was a really creamy flakie.  The application was nice and I liked that it dried super fast, and I didn't have to use a fast drying topcoat.  Coverage was excellent too.  The flakies were abundant, and I had no problem getting them on the nails.  They didn't have a strong color shift, but they were really glowy.  This color reminded me of Raise Your Glass, but a few shades darker and leaning more towards red.

Femme Fatale Glassweb is a stunning blue holographic

This one looks really simple in the pictures, but it's so complex in real life.  It even has a color shift going on.  I'm never disappointed when I wear one of my FF holos, and this one is no exception.
