Starlight Phoenix Fire is a shimmery lavender holochrome

I think I like this better than the swatch I saw on their website.  It looks grey-lilac most of the time on me, and I'm loving it.  I really liked this collection.  Although the holographic and shimmer effect are not as strong as I'd like them to be, they are really unique in my stash.  I've included a blurry pic in the shade, so you guys can see the grey that I am talking about.

Jelly Rainbow nails fail

Hey! I didn't plan to go MIA.  The truth is that, at my job (currently, and temporarily, thankfully) I am constantly on the computer.  All day long, 8 hours {insert whining sound}.  Not only that, but also I am working on cropping pictures most of the time, and editing stuff, so when I come home, I just don't want to look at the laptop.  However, all of that should change pretty soon, so I will keep updating my blog.  Please bear with me!

I tried to do a jelly over glitter mani, but I think I had a heavy hand when I did this, because they mostly turned out opaque.  I liked the end result, but it wasn't at all what I had in mind.  I'll have to try it again.

Glittery Green Gradient with Clover accent

This is what I wore yesterday for St. Patrick's Day, a GGG (Glittery Green Gradient).  It was so much fun to make.  I love layering.

I'm sorry for the lack of post on Monday.  My friend K came to visit, and I did not have time to blog at all over the weekend.  She was here for like 60 hours only (2 days and a half), but we still managed to squeeze in a million things to do in that time frame.  We went to the Downtown, to a museum, to a theme park, to visit my friend Robyn, to the movie theater, to a couple of Japanese stores, to Neimans, to a fancy supermarket, to the mall, and of course, to get pedicures.  It was crazy.  No wonder I am still recovering.

Ciate Pool Party is Cobalt Blue Jelly

This one was also in my untrieds forever.  I had no idea that this brand had made such an amazing jelly.  My friend K sent it to me to try it as a basecolor for color shifting pigments.  It is such a perfect two coater, and the color is so vibrant, I love it.

Finger Paints Paint the town Purple is a shimmery lilac topper

I wore this over Tuesday's mani.  I don't buy finger paints that much, except on the occasional Sally's trip.  I am kind of glad that I picked this up, it has a lot of shimmer.  It doesn't shift, but it looks really nice over dark nail polishes.  The formula was good, and it dried at an average speed.

OPI Sapphire in the Snow is the most perfect dark blurple creme

I cannot believe that I had not posted this beauty on the blog until today.  I guess that, when I started this blog, I wanted it to have "brands other than OPI".  I actually wanted to focus on high end and international brands, and all of its layering possibilities.  Then, the glitter frenzy started.  I was trying to accumulate and post all of the glitters ever made.  Shortly after, the indie frenzy began, and I got focused on that.  Now that things are slowing down a bit, I am trying to post the unposted.  This weekend I went through my stash, and found some OPIs that I love and that I hadn't seen in a while.  They have just been forgotten and ignored; and to be fair OPI does make great nail polish, in my honest opinion.  I just wanted the blog to be different, because when it started, all the others seemed to blog about Essie, OPI and China Glaze.  That things have changed I feel like I have traveled all the way around, I kind of miss the basics.  Art, fashion and trends always seem to go in circles; and so does nail polish.

OPI Megawatt and OPI Blonde Date are dupes

Spring is here!  Look at those pretty flowers :)  Yeap, that first picture is uncropped.  That is unfortunately, the distance that I have to have, for my camera to capture the nails as the focused image that you usually see on the blog.  I cannot complain though, because I love the quality of the photos from this camera.

I had mentioned on my OPI Blonde Date post how it had a dupe, allegedly.  Well, on my latest dusty hunting trip (not that there are many of those trips, ha ha), I found Megawatt.  The pics are pretty much the real life representation.  These are dupes, and Megawatt has a better formula, less streaky and 3 free.  This post just reminded me that I have to swatch Essie Amalfi, which is along the lines of Megawatt and Blonde Date *sigh* I love gold shimmers.

Lancome Amethyste Brune is a blackened purple lacquer

I don't think I've ever owned or posted a Lancome nail polish before.  This was actually a gift from my friend Robyn.  I never would have thought of looking at the lacquers from that brand.  This one is stunning.  It's kind of like Chanel Paradoxal but without the brown undertones.  This is sort of black with a strong purple microshimmer, that glows.  It is gorgeous!  It also made the perfect basecolor for my purple foils.
