Dance Legend Highway is a purple jelly with iridescent glitter squares

I am so glad that the weekend is here.  I have been working on the new SV collection and I really need the weekend to catch up on everything.  This DL was a gift from my friend K.  It has a lot of the elements that I like in a nail polish: purple, jelly, iridescence, square glitters, and blue shimmer.  I wore it for a couple of days and I was sad to take it off.  The formula was ok, it was a three coater, and I had to add a little bit of thinner to it.  I might try to layer it over a purple creme next time.

Colors by Llarowe Danger Zone is a shimmery fuchsia

This probably looks more red in the pics than in real life.  It's totally fuchsia on me, unlike MJ's Jacket.  The formula was great, and two coats provided great coverage.  I am not sure if I have a dupe of this color, as I don't gravitate towards them, unless it's a hot summer day.  I love shimmers, so I see myself wearing this at any given time of the year.

My dusty find: OPI Los Cabos Coral

Hey there! Wednesday post >.> Yeah I want to try to make up for lost time.

When I was in the snowy place, I rented a car for the weekend, and the first thing that I mapped on my GPS was a 'nail supply'.  I found this old forgotten nail polish store, in a really shady area, and I was excited to see that it was a dusty.  A dusty, is an old Beauty Supply Store that sells old OPIs (AKA Black label OPIs).  They are called dusty because of the dust that accumulates on the shoulders of the old bottles.  Sure enough, I had to clean the couple of OPIs that I bought that day.  I got Megawatt and this gorgeous shimmery peach.  My pics don't really do it justice.  It is an old-school, pearly shimmer, that has a timeless feel to it.

Ethereal Lacquer Lilac Haze is a pale lilac holographic with a subtle microshimmer

I know this is supposed to be lilac, but it looks mostly pink on me.  I really like these type of holos, it reminds me of OPI DS Amethyst and EdM Head Over Heels.  It is definitely up my alley.  I love the hidden microshimmer in this, it is what makes it glow.

Gucci Iconic Black is a glossy black creme

This nail polish ends the search of the perfect black creme for me.  It is not the 'blackest' black I've seen, but I love the way that it looks on me.  It leans grey and it is more of a crelly, so it is not pitch black.  I think it's super classy and the gloss is just amazing.  This was really easy to apply and that says a lot for a black, no clean up needed.  It did not stain my nails or my skin upon removal.  Love it.

OPI Go with the Lava Flow is a beautiful shimmery coral

Yesterday the sunlight was not so good, but you have to trust me when I say that this is awesome.  This lovely coral is from the OPI Hawaii Collection.  The color compliments my skin tone really well, it is super shimmery IRL and it has a little color shift going on.

Baby Blue Jelly Sandwich and #tbt

I haven't posted a jelly sandwich in a while, and all this talk about Spring and Easter made me want to do a pastel jelly sandwich.  I have a few Nfu Oh jellies that are still untried, and I have been meaning to use this one, to see how it compared to RBL Bikini Bottom.  It is definitely different enough, but it can also act as a good substitute.

The more I make nail polish, the more I appreciate things like this.  I mean, it it really hard to make a light color into a jelly, because to make something light, you need to add white, and when you do, if too diluted it can get really patchy.  Nfu Oh jellies are out of this world, and I cannot recommend them enough.  Here's a couple of TBT Nfu Oh jelly posts: JS27 and JS16.

Ninja Polish Passion Shift is a color changing holographic

I'm a sucker for purple holos, and even more when they shift like this one.  I had worn this one already, but I did a quick search and I noticed that I hadn't posted any swatches.  The formula is still really good, even though it's probably been sitting for a year.  I really love the way it shits, although the color itself is a bit darkened for my taste.  This one is definitely a stunner in the sun, but the color is not that well-defined in the shade.  The holo effect is not as linear as I remember.  I am not sure if it's a must have for purple holo lovers, but it is definitely worth the try.

Pahlish Midnight at the Majestic is a shimmery eggplant holographic

Hey everyone *waves* I am back, and here to stay.  Hiatus is over for me, I'm back to polish.  This is one of those lacquers that draws you in.  I can't figure out why the shimmer is so special.  Maybe it has micro-shimmer in it too, which makes it glow.  It is along the lines of Elevation Haleakala and C&C Operation Vegas.  However, this one seems to lean more red/pink on me.

NailNation Polish Me is a dark pink holographic

Last Tuesday, when I got off work, there was full sun.  I slapped this on as soon as I could, so that I wouldn't miss it.  I am going back to Sunny California tomorrow.  I am so happy about that.  Not only do I get to go back to some nail mail and some pigments that are awaiting me, but I get back to the city life that I am used to <3

I really liked this pinkish red with the purple undertones.  It reminded me of CbL Dock of the Bay, but this is a lot darker.  This definitely looks better in the bottle than on the nails, although these pictures really do showcase the gorgeous shimmer in it.

Urban Outfitters Sparkle Purple is a sheer grape jelly with sparse flakies

This is what I wore before my trip.  It is a rather rare Urban Outfitters flakie.  I don't think they made too many of these back in the day.  I want to say it was from somewhere aroung 2007-2008.  I liked the name (duh!) at the time, so I got it on a whim, and I think I've only worn it once.  It has small orange-red flakies and some clear ones that appear purple due to the base color.  I like the formula, but it is too sheer, so it must be layered.
