Deborah Lippmann Raise your glass is a raspberry crelly with glittery accents

This is from the newer batch of untrieds that I accumulated.  It's not a new shade, but I've only had it for a few months.  It's new to me.  Ever since I saw this on Ommorphia, I wanted to get it.  I think it was worth the wait, the color is very unique.  It's a thirsty glitter, but other than that, the formula is great.  I am so grateful to have relative in Canada, because otherwise this would have been impossible to find.

Flakies over purple, is there any other way?

I probably wear this layering combination more often than any other.  I have done similar ones here, here and here.  I just own too many purples and when I feel they are missing something, I like to add flakies.  This was not the case for Worlds Apart, this jelly has a nice color shifting (pink to green) shimmer in it.  It is gorgeous in real life, almost neon-like.  It dries matte, but once topcoat is applied, it glows as the pictures show.  Same goes for pause, it has pink microshimmer and it pops when topcoat is added.  I think that if you are a purple-lover like me, you need both of these.  I'm never impressed with RBL formula, but this color is worth it.

Barielle Velvets Spring Collection 2014

Disclosure

This is the other collection that Barielle brought us for Spring.  It is more delicate and subtle.  Sexy Mood is a modern take on Mauve.  It is a creamy purple-toned pink, and my favorite from the collection.  Cream ‘N Sugar is the sheer one, it has a jelly-like feel and it is great for French manicures.  I liked it at two coats and at three (shown here).  Uptown Girl was a nice opaque beige, sort of band-aid color.  My Tan Blazer, as the name implies, is a beige for tanned girls.  On me it looked sort of mustard color, which I didn’t really like.  My Week Away is a gorgeous light pink with subtle green shimmer.  Finally, A Little Exotic, is one of those brick red/orange colors that looks great on anyone.  I honestly wasn’t feeling this collection by just looking at the bottles, but once on the nails, I think that each and every color is special in its own way.  I loved the formula on these colors way more than the VibrantsCollection.

Holographic skittles with black swirls

I have too many untried holos (FWP), so I decided to do a skittle mani.  I rarely do these.  In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever worn skittles for more than a couple of hours.  This one seemed like it was missing something, despite the holo factor, so I added some stickers that my friend Robyn gave me a while back, for my Birthday.  These holographics are awesome in formula and color payoff.  The only one I had a problem with was Men of Mayhem (pinky), it stained my nail upon removal.  Next time, I will use the NPB Glitter A-Peel to avoid that.

Dior Mirage is a girly magenta crelly

Apologies for the late post.  It was one of those busy days, but tomorrow promises to be a relaxing one :)  I bit the bullet and had to try the new "gel" Diors, and I honestly don't see a big difference.  The formula is what I expected from them, perfection.  The pigmentation was very dense, as always.  Although, I wanted it to be more jelly-like, but this is a good crelly (creme + jelly), nonetheless.  I love the Dior brush, and I'm glad that they didn't change it for this line.  If you need help meeting your Dior needs, shoot me a message, I have a friend who works at a Dior Store and she is awesome with samples and GWPs.  If you don't live in Nevada, your order will be exempt from taxes, and the shipping is always free.  There are about 14 new colors in this line, and if you are a Dior fan, you probably need them all.  Check out the amazing collection swatches in this blog.

Pastel Plaid with OPI Sheer Tints

I can't take credit for this, I saw it on a Facebook group, from a Pintrest pin of an Instagram Pic *phew* it's exhausting social media sometimes ha ha.  Anyhow, this wasn't so hard to do.  Except for the fact that these OPI babies need thinner and agitators.  I started with a light pink creme as a base color, then did a diagonal yellow line.  Then to the opposite side, a magenta streak.  Then, blue to the other side, and finally, purple.  It's really as simple as it sounds.  I would give it more than 1 minute drying time in between each color, because if not, then it tends to drag a bit.  I love jellies, so I knew that I was going to love these.  I can't wait to see how they perform in glitter sandwiches!
