Chanel Coco Blue is a cool-toned shimmery blue

Happy Black Friday!

With the URL change, I noticed that my blogroll disappeared.  I managed to restore it, but I know that there were more.  If your blog was there or if you simply want to be added to my blogroll, please let me know, just e-mail me at sparklyvernis@yahoo.com with your link.  I know that Instagram is huge now for nails, and if there's enough interest, I can do a new tab for an IG Blogroll, what do you guys think?

Ok, on to this nail polish.  The shimmer reminded me of those OPI holiday lacquers that I posted a while back.  It is very subtle, almost pearl finish.  I like this color a lot for Wintery days, although I think it was marketed for the Summer, a long time ago.  I had bought the Nubar dupe first (comparison below), and then when I saw that the color went well with my skin tone, I splurged on the Chanel.  The only big difference between the two, is that the Chanel is slightly more blue and brighter, but it's impossible to tell in pictures.

  1. Wow, those really are incredibly close. Nubar would definitely be the more affordable option on the vintage market.

    1. Yeap, they either have the exact same pigment or someone at Nubar was really clever to replicate it.

  2. This is such a gorgeous blue :-) It does look very similar to the Nubar!

    1. It's very wearable, although both have a really sheer and tricky formula. If I had to choose one, I'd go with the Chanel, since it feels more like a collector's item.
