CrowsToes Too F#%*ing Cold is an iridescent blue glitter that glows

This was part of a CrowsToes/Elevation collaboration duo, that came out in the Spring.  It is really pretty and glows from within.  This is my kind of glitter, as it is one of those that glows in the shade.  I was catching up on blogging and thinking it's too cold today, so this nail polish came to mind.  I also had a couple of Halloween manis that I couldn't take good pictures of, and thought to post them here as well, since Halloween is tomorrow.

Halloween Gradient

Ok ok I take back what I said yesterday about Hot Topic Nail Polishes.  Turns out, I went in this week, to see if they had any GITD lacquers, like the blue one I posted a while back (here), and I found this little gem.  It is a sheer blue with color-changing microglitter that goes from blue to purple to pink.  It needs two coats, because it is rather sparse, but it's pretty good for 5 bucks.

Hot Topic no name blue

This is a shimmery blue with blue microglitter that changes to purple.  It's a shame that I couldn't capture the color shift with my camera, because it is awesome in real life, and there are not many color changing glitters out there.  I thought it was worth posting this one, in case you have it, or see it out there, grab it if you can, because it's great in real life.  I didn't even know how good it was until I started going through my untrieds.  This is rather old, from way back when Hot Topic used to make good nail polishes.

Love, Preview

Hey guys :/ hopefully no one that is reading this has experienced something as awful as being hungry, but if you have you can relate.  I'm not going to plaster this post with propaganda as I initially thought, because no one needs to see starving kids showing their bony bodies to understand that this is a serious problem; and it is happening right here in America.  Yes, the America of over-eating and over-indulging.  The America of over-weight problems because of too much food.  There are kids that go to school everyday without breakfast and because of that, they don't perform well in academics.  Yes, here in America, and it is hard to believe it, and it breaks my heart to think about it.  If you have kids, and even if you don't, you will want to help after watching this video.  What does this have to do with nail polish?  Victoria from Serum No. 5 is hosting an event and raising money for No Kid Hungry.  We can help these kids thrive!  Thanks to this campaign, we can donate and get our polish fix while we're at it, isn't that awesome? Please head over to the Love, Preview Website or click on the image below to learn more.

If you want to feel your heart wrinkle and watch some more of those videos click here.  If you just want to go straight to the donation part because you already have watery eyes like me, please click here.

Serum No. 5 Atomic Peach and Pink Lantern

Disclosure

Today I bring you two Glow in the Dark (GITD) nail polishes from Serum No. 5, the creators behind Day Glow.  Atomic Peach is a beige with hidden microglitter, the formula on this one was tricky, but the glow payoff was great at two coats.  I had reviewed Pink Lantern before, but this one was reformulated and now it is gorgeous.  Too bad that it will be gone soon, because I love that it is an almost neon, bubblegum pink during the day.  If you like it too, head over to Serum No. 5's website and get it while it is in stock, because it looks like it will be gone after Halloween is over, so in about one week :(  I like the glow of Atomic Peach better, since it is very unique, it glows white instead of the common green or yellow ones that we usually see out there.  Like all of Serum No. 5 nail polishes, these two will also have 20% of the sales allocated to benefit a good cause.

Shimmer Mary

Disclosure

This is a long overdue post.  I think this particular Shimmer was sent to me on the very first batch of Shimmers, if I'm not mistaken, or the second.  I feel like I've had it forever, it's one of those tricky ones to layer, because a) the colors are not me and b) the base is a bit tinted.  I've come a long way swatching Shimmers, and I 'love' about 80% of them to be honest, and I 'like' 10% of them, and dislike the other 10%.   It's hard for me not to like Shimmers, they are packed with so much glitter and the formula is always amazing.  This post marks my Shimmer post #55, yeap there's about 60-70 different Shimmers available, as of today, and the lovely Cindy keeps on making fabulous new ones.  This doesn't include the hundreds of customs she has done.  I don't know how she does it.  If you haven't tried Shimmer yet, I suggest you click on the Shimmer tag at the bottom of this post and check out some of those 55 swatches (and most of them times 3 layering combos, so that's about 150), I'm sure that you'll find something in there that you'll 'love/like' as much as I do.
