Penelope Luz Peacock is a mix of satin glitters in purple and blue

I cannot call this glitter matte, like I did with Nail Nation I <3 Nail Polish (Purple), because this one has a completely different finish.  The glitter is also smaller, but just as thirsty, I had to add 3 coats of topcoat/basecoat.  Peacock was created by a Brazilian Blogger.  I've posted a couple of swatches from this brand before since I really like the formula.  She layered this here over blue and black on accent nail.  I actually had a hard time finding a good base color for this.  White was too stark and it kind of disappeared on most of the others I tried.  I like it so much on the bottle and I wanted it to translate onto the nails.  After seeing the result, I think it was worth the extra effort.  This was a gift from my Brazilian friend, but you can find Penelope Luz and other Brazilian goodies at Color4Nails, a really good seller that ships within the US.

Glam Polish Twilight Sparkle a dusty purple glitter bomb

I love purple.  If you guys read my blog or look at the size of my tags at the bottom of the page, you probably already knew this.  However, this shade of purple was not as bright (or neon-ish) as I expected.  I still like it, but it looks much better in the bottle.  There was a bit of fishing done here, but this is consistent with all the other Glam Polish lacquers that I've tried, so I was prepared for it.  Very cool glitter combo, still worth having.

Darling Diva Polish Caged Heat and Little Red Corvette

Disclosure

Caged Heat is a variation of those black and white glitter toppers.  I wasn't too keen on it.  At first, it seemed fun because it had some holo dust in it, and the glitters were round, but I didn't like it on my nails too much.  The holographic effect was very weak, and the glitters somewhat stuck to each other at times.  I might have to try it over other colors, but today I felt like red :)  On that note, let's talk about the gorgeous Little Red Corvette.  Was this packed with goodies.  First of all, perfect formula, a two-coater, no less.  Secondly, it had thin and smooth red holographic glitters of different sizes that glow from within.  Lovely and exciting color, really classy too.  This shade of red really agreed with my skin tone.  Not too complicated, just a red glitter, like a red glitter is supposed to be. .  Both great nail polishes, but Little Red Corvette is definitely a must for me.

Lilypad Lacquer Baby Boy Blue is a good light blue holographic

This creamy holographic was perfect all around.  I loved the color, it is such a stunning shade of blue, loved the application, the texture, and how fast it dried.  I received my order a couple of weeks ago and I love all the lilies that I got!  The waiting time from Australia to the US was not so bad either.

Barielle Nude and Naughty Collection

Disclosure

This is Barielle's second Fall Collection, and it is aimed towards 'universal' shades.  You have probably seen In Good Taste before, since it was also included in their other Fall Collection.  This one is a dark chocolate color, two coats were enough, but it did need some topcoat.  Pillow talk was so classy and I unexpectedly fell in love with it.  It was very glossy and easy to apply, no topcoat needed.  No Not Now was the closest to my skin tone, it is very similar to Butter London Yummy Mummy, but this one has a gorgeous hidden shimmer going on.  Very Bare was the problem child, it was really hard to work with.  I think this was supposed to be a sheer, but on me it just didn't work out at two coats, like other sheers do, and it required 4 coats to hide the patches.  It's a gorgeous color, but like most white cremes it was a pain.  Finally, I Got A Headache, my favorite, made this set completely worth it.  It is a soft shimmery brown that glows and applies effortlessly.  The gold microshimmer really adds that special touch.  I am usually not a fan of beige or browns.  I only wear them when I have a meeting or I need my nails not to steal the spotlight, but these essentials are very nice, and a must have for every collector.  A couple of them have shimmer in them, which I loved, and Pillow Talk was a very interesting "band-aid" color that I know I don't have in my collection; and it looks great against my skin tone.  P.S.: Barielle has a great giveaway going on, which includes both Fall Collections, click here for details.
