OPI Sand-erella light purple holographic goodness

I've definitely swatched this before, but layered.  Here it is almost on it's own.  I used the Ozotic to hide a little bit of the VNL, because sand-erella is gorgeous but really sheer, and gets a little bit expensive at 4 coats.  This one smells funky >.< and by funky, I mean toxic; it's one of the oldest OPIs I own.  Must swatch in highly ventilated area for sure.  Lately I've been obsessing over holographics.  I hadn't revisited this obsession for a while now.  I'm not sure how long it will last, but for now let's enjoy the rainbows!

OPI Nail Envy and Peelies

Ok this looks... different.  Yeap, it's my right hand, clearly not trained for blogging yet, but I'll get there with practice.  I'm showing you this because I have always been afraid to show my nails on this hand, until now.  I've never had a decent-looking right index!  It is always shorter than the others.  It never grew and it would always break, due to weekness because of peelies (you know, when the nail opens up in layers? ouch!).  Well, for those of you who have this problem, I can tell you that there is hope.  I started using OPI Nail Envy a couple of months ago --yes, even under the aqua base for holos, always, did not miss a day-- and now, behold:

Edit 08/31/15 This doesn't really help long term.  After 2 years of using it every day, I noticed that my nails have peelies, they are britte, and they break often.  Moreover, it has formaldehyde in the ingredients.  I will discontinue use.

Shimmer Candace

Disclosure

Dark nail polish lovers and gold glitter lovers this is for you.  What a nice addition to the Shimmer line.  I love glitters like this, where you don't know what to expect.  From looking at the bottle it looked like a simple gold, but on the nail it has so many dimensions.  I especially loved the hidden pink (fuchsia) accents in this.  This is similar to Tracy, but with way more holographic goodness.  I am not sure if black glitter is hard to find, but it seems like most companies are afraid to use it.  Well this one is the exception, so if you love black glitter you definitely need this.  My favorite layering combination is over neutrals, such as beige, soft pinks or even white.  The application was great and the formula was superb.

Enchanted Polish I Am The Walrus over purple, a magical leyering combination

I am writing this from a Starbucks, there was a power outage where I live *sigh* I really wanted to post this combination that I tried a couple of days ago.  It is so lovely.  This is a really nice duochrome and the holographic effect is sparse, yet strong.  It is quite sheer on it's own (4-5 coats for opacity) so layering made sense.  I initially tried it over Deborah Lippmann Private Dancer, and it had a similar effect.  I think I might like it better over a metallic purple, but over cremes it looks magical as well.  All of the Enchanteds I've tried apply like a dream.  I think what sold me on this brand is the magnificent formula; I plan on buying many more!  I got mine here, but you can also find Enchanted at Llarowe.  You can also like Enchanted's Facebook page to learn about restock dates =)

CrowsToes Heartless over Tom Ford African Violet

Awww this Crows was gifted to me on Valenine's Day by a really good friend, what a great gift!  I love this so much, what an eye catcher, I received tons of compliments while wearing it.  The formula was great, but it did shrink a bit.  I noticed it right after applying it and the next day when I woke up and had a "tip wear" look.  Nonetheless it is gorgeous, very holographic. The Tom Ford is a magenta creme that dries a couple of tones darker than the bottle.  This looks so summery and perfectly smooth and glossy.  The application is not so breezy because the brush is on the stiff side.  I love the bottle, however.  I guess I am a sucker for cute packaging.

Rescue Beauty Lounge Moxie makes for elegant-looking nails

A couple of weeks ago, when I posted Aurum, I was thinking about much I love golden whites, or is it whitened golds?  Anyhow, I managed to swatch Moxie on its lonesome and I really love it.  The formula, the color, the microshimmer, just all of it.

Stargazer Opal 245 is a pale lilac with green microshimmer

This one I got out of sheer curiosity.  I read all of my reader's comments <3 and when I posted Tins Viola Grace, I remembered someone mentioned how this Stargazer was similar.  It is similar on the bottle, but on the nail is very different.  The microshimmer is great IRL, but my pics don't really show it.  This has the same green microshimmer as Illamasqua Hemlock.  It was super sheer, took four coats and the purple base didn't really show up.  Still gorgeous.
