Barielle Sweet Treats Collection

Today I bring you a collection of five gorgeous cremes.  You know my blog is mostly about glitters, but what are glitter toppers without a good creme underneath?  when it comes to "undies", using base colors for my glitters that is, I usually think of Barielle.  They are of great quality and good value for the money (e.g.: this kit of 5 retails for $25).  Moreover the application is a breeze, and most of them are glossy, so topcoat is optional.  From this set, the one that caught my eye was Green Apple Chew.  I rarely wear colors like this, but I really should because not only do I like it on me, but others enjoy it as well.  It really makes a statement.  Peach Parfait is just the perfect balance between pink and orange, it also has the right amount of white in it, so that it looks saturated and not too light.  Lilac Jelly Bean is not a jelly as I had originally thought upon looking at the name.  However, it is a *wait for it* a One-coater grey creme.  Yeah, to me, this is the star of the collection.  A super saturated lilac-based grey that applies like a dream and only requires one coat for full opacity/coverage.  Perfect for those days when you are in a hurry and need a neutral to cover your nails :)  Blue Cotton Candy is a creme with a bit of silver microglitter.  It was ok, a little bit thick and it needs topcoat for the shimmer to show.  Banana Drop was the only one that required three coats.  All yellows are difficult and this is no exception.  Overall, great color selection.  I think this Spring Collection will transition into Summer really well, especially with those brights (almost neons) included in there.  Make sure to like Barielle on Facebook, they always have the best contests and giveaways!

    1. They are bright, but unlike neons, these actually have a glossy finish. Isn't that wonderful?

  4. Peach Parfait and Lilac Jelly Bean are definitely the ones I would get the most use out of, but I think I might need to buy the whole set based on your amazing swatches!

    1. It's really nice, and once you put topcoat on, it looks so subtle.
