My first thought when I swatched this one was: too red. But after using it by itself (shown first), I realized that it is actually the perfect balance between dark red and burnt orange. Giving it an overall look of a soft red with blue accents. Then, I thought wow this must look great with an aqua color, because the combination of glitters reminded me of a coral reef. All that was missing was the water. So I decided to pair it with China Glaze Aquadelic, and I absoutely loved the result. Lastly, I finished with the no-brainer combination which is red over red (shown last), and it was actually quite different from what I expected. I thought it was going to look too much like it does on its own, and it did not. There is one more thing about Alessandra that was quite a nice surprise, it has gold microglitter, which is best seen at an angle or in the shade. That is why I included so many pictures, I hope you can all see it. The formula was easy to work with, as with all the other Shimmers that I've swatched before.
