Big Universo Hydrargyrus is a grey with a strong pink shimmer

This nail polish is hard to photograph, trust me when I say this, it is amazing in real life.  I received this from a lovely Brazilian Blogger known as Patricia.  If you haven't seen her blog yet, you must check it out, she always posts the cutest kitty pictures, along with her lovely swatches.  She is such a great swapper, she got me everything I had requested from Brazil, including Hydrargyrus.

Pretty & Polished Sand Art makes my nails look artsy

I know I spend a lot of time on Etsy, but there are so many talented indie nail polish makers out there.  Matte glitter has definitely been big in the last few months, and I can't get enough of it.  If you are looking for something similar to Floam, I highly recommend this one, this seller is not only a true artist, but very responsible and ships super fast.  I want to try Sand Art by itself, but I couldn't resist layering it.

Butter London Lovely Jubbly

An amazing glitter from Butter London's new Autumn/Winter 2012 Collection.  You would think this is identical to Sally Hansen Rockstar Pink, but once you apply it on the nail you immediately realize the quality of Butter London Lovely Jubbly.  This is much more refined, the glitter just sparkles more.  It is also very dense, a perfect 2-coater.  If you love glitter, you know how great it is to have two-coaters in the collection, so this is definitely a great addition.  It dried very fast, and the application was easy, although I had to double dip for a couple of nails, because the brush did not hold enough I guess.  The color is super pretty, it looks magenta pink in some lights, and purple in others.  I have no idea if this was meant for Winter or for Fall, but I want to wear it all the time!

Deborah Lippmann Let's Go Crazy is a one-coater jelly

This is yet again, Happy Birthday reinvented, but I really don't care.  I love purple and glitter, so I had to get it.  A bonus is that not only is it a jelly, but if you apply it carefuly, you can get away with one coat.  This is a Nordstrom Exclusive, but I can see it's also availabe on the Lippmann website.

Shimmer Adrienne

Adrienne is a glittery blend of light gold and royal blue.  I like the shade of gold and the combination.  However, the glitter is rather gritty.  The formula was great, like all the Shimmers I've tried so far, and the application was also good, but for some reason I found the smaller glitter to be a bit rough.  This is a two-coater, so perhaps that might be the culprit? it has great coverage, but maybe it's too jammed packed.  My favorite combination was definitely over grey (shown last) I think it might also look great over lavender or other grey-toned nail polishes.  I would also try it over reds and greens in the winter.
