Serum No. 5 - Fall 2012 Collection

Already well known in the community for Day Glow, Serum No. 5 brings us a new collection tomorrow at 12:00 p.m. PDT; along with another GITD (Glow in the Dark) nail polish called Pink Lantern later in the game.  Lots of pictures in this post, because I tried to include photos taken in the shade as well.  This collection is very unique.  Have you ever had a shimmery nail polish and wished it had more shimmer? well this is what this collection is all about.  With the exception of Barely There, these nail polishes are essentially pure shimmer.  Awesome.  I started with Fallen, the one that more accurately represented Autumn to me, it was quite smooth.  My pics may not be color accurate, this is a brick color, I posted a picture on twitter for good measure.  Then I moved on to Forest Lights, a blackened green, no less.  The holographic microglitter and the teal minis really give it an interesting quality.  Rise and Grind was an unexpected Beauty.  Barely there was the creamy one, I thought it was a lovely shade of nude, but it did not self-level well, requiring 3 coats.  Stormy Weather, also a 3-coater (I was so sure it would be a two-coater) totally worth it, because this is, like I said, pure shimmer, and the effect in real life is amazing.  Pretty Blue is the only one that needs to be layered.  This glitter topper is packed with shimmer and holographic goodness.  Call it A 'Treuse was my favorite, it is a must have, green apple shimmer.  The glitter is fuchsia or magenta not purple like it appears in some pictures.  The combination is glorious and I just love how sparkly and unique it is.  Overall, stunning collection, one of a kind.  After you get one of these babies, you'll be convinced that this is indeed a new breed of nail polishes.  Best of all 20% of all profits will go towards a charitable donation.  Remember, Pink Lantern will launch on October 1st, I will have swatches and post the exact time of restock.  To see swatches of the first collection click here.  Follow Serum No. 5 on Facebook or Tumblr.
