Glitter Week: Sprinkling

I don't know if this is the correct term, but my friend K says it is, and I trust her, so here we go.  Sprinkling glitters on your nails is the easeiest thing.  You apply basecoat, topcoat or any color you'd like and sprinkle glitter on top.  Give it a few seconds to set, and tap the excess off.  Apply basecoat, gelous or glitter tamer and top coat.  I do this with glitters that melt (remember from yesterday's post?) or bleed too much, and cannot be used for frankening.  I posted sprinkling before with smaller glitter, now I tried it with medium sized hexagonal glitter and the result is not as good I expected, a bit too much if you ask me.  But at least it killed my curiosity, now I know, the smaller the glitter the better for sprinkling.

Layering Order:
1 coat Barielle Manicure Extender
no name loose hexagonal glitter
2 coats Glitter Tamer
no basecoat or topcoat in these pictures

  3. I think this sprinkling of glitter looks totally amazing. It actually looks much better than I expected sprinkling would look.
