Results for the Poll = There will be 2 posts per day! here is the breakdown

Thanks to everyone who voted.  Mi casa es su casa, and my blog is your blog, so I value your opinion, because without you lovely readers I would be talking blogging to myself right?

ok so here are the original poll questions:

And here are the answers:

According to the poll, most readers want to see both Holiday and Non-Holiday related posts.  There was a tie on the first two questions, that's the first clue!  Also most readers are ok with two posts per day (question 4), so 2 posts each day it is!  There will be one Non-Holiday post at 1:01 a.m. (Pacific Time) and one Holiday post at 1:01 p.m. (Pacific Time) AKA 1300 (thirteen hundred) hours AKA the time at which I usually post.

So for example, you Early Birds get to see the Non-Holiday post and might have to scroll down to see the previous day's Holiday post, and you Night Owls get to see that day's Holiday Post and may need to scroll down to see the morning's Non-Holiday post *phew* I hope it's not too confusing, and most importantly I hope you enjoy it!

New Skin for the Blog

The spirit of the holidays has visited me, and now there's going to be a lot of glitter and ... wait, there's always glitter here :) These little Blue Cross Snowmans have gained my respect.  After seeing this one, I am definitely going to pay more attention to their seasonal stands.  I layered it over one of my favorite gold glitters, but I can't wait to layer it over silver or black, or even use it by itself, it looks like it's a two coater.

Nubar Indigo Illusion a beautiful duo-chrome - PLUS - Announcing the Giveaway Winner

Thanksgiving is a day to give thanks, and I'm thankful for my readers and followers that make this possible.  <<THANKS>>  When I reached 100 followers, in the tradition of the blogging world, I hosted a small giveaway, and 112 people entered, there were 187 entries including the bonus entries.  THE WINNER is Sarah from Ohio, congrats!  I have contacted her and she has replied.  Thank you to everyone who entered and most importantly, thank you for sharing the love.  On to today's swatch, when I saw it on the bottle it looked just grey, but it has amazing color-changing abilities.  The winner will also receive a bottle of this =D

Happy Thanksgiving!

Butterflies on purple gold fleck

I really had to think this title through.  First of all because this nail polish has no name (edit: got it from comments, thanks!) it's from this year's Ulta Under the Sea Collection, which I wish it came in a full size.  Secondly, because I love butterfly stickers.  Thirdly, because I love purple.  I know I'll post more Butterflies over purple in the future and I don't want to have multiple posts with the same tittle.  Ok bit of rambling there, let's see the pictures shall we?

Butter London Hardwear

When I do intricate nail designs, such as the one shown here, and after my nail art has dried, I want a topcoat that protects, shines, and makes the manicure last longer. That is exactly what the Butter London Hardwear Pretty Darn Quick Topcoat does. Last week, I showed you what the Butter London Basecoat can do, this week I'll show you how good their Topcoat looks. If you love both, you can get them in this set, which I think is a better deal. They both come in a bigger size than regular-sized nail polish (0.6 fl oz instead of 0.5) and the packaging is very appealing. I experienced no shrinkage whatsoever, no smudges nor bubbling, and it had just the right consistency, not to watery or too thick. The pictures really speak for themselves, this shines like glass.

Chemistry 241 is a two-coater duo-chrome

This one really surprised me, because I'm used to applying an undercoat to all duo-chromes, since they're usually really sheer, but it was perfect at two coats.  It pulled off gold on me, but it really is pearly and green most of the time.  This was gifted by someone who I will choose to call the Amazing Claire.  She is so sweet, she agreed to do an international exchange when I was just beginning to blog, I am so happy to have met her.  Please check out her blog here *hint hint*

Butter London Nail Foundation

Deborah Lippmann's Supermodel is notorious for leaving a visible nail line (VNL).  There are many other amazing nail polishes that have a "squishy" quality to them but are sheer, such as the ones in the OPI Texas collection, and the Revlon Just Tinted collection.  Those are all jellies, but VNL can be seen with other sheer nail polishes too, such as shimmery lacquers.  For those who haven't experienced this, VNL is when you can see where your finger ends through the tip of your nail (or free edge), because the nail polish you used is too sheer, and there is a "line" that shows where the nail bed ends.  Now that can easily be fixed, and here I brought you a comparison using Supermodel.  The basecoat I'm using today is a ridgefiller and it has a little bit of tint, and at two coats it covers VNL.  Most importantly, it doesn't alter the color you apply over it.  The shade of your nail polish will remain the same, as you will see in these pictures.  If you just want to use it as a basecoat to protect your nails you only need one coat.  As with all Butter London products, this is 3F (Free of Formaldehyde, Toluene, and Dibutyl Phthalate) which is an added bonus!  Edit:  I have been told that you can franken your own basecoat for jellies with some beige added to a ridgefiller.  I tried this with Nailtek Foundation II and it didn't really work too well.  I prefer BL, even though it takes a bit longer to dry.  Also, I think that for bright neon jellies, OPI Funny Bunny or any other sheer white will work too.
